(More customer reviews)We purchased a Borg clarient at a big box store for our daughter who was just starting band in elementry school. I played clarinet in high school (all state band, etc.) and some in college; I tried the instrument out, and it with a decent moutpiece it sounds fine to me.
Unfortunately, before the end of her second year, one of the corks came off, and to my astonishment, none of the local shops would repair it. This has been so frustrating. It just needs the cork glewed back no. I'd do it myself, but I don't have the right glue and materials.
So, although I think the Borg a fine starter instrument, my advise is to spend a few bucks more for a Vito or Bundy (both of which are repairable at local shops in our area).
